Ana Petrović
visual artist
In her work, Ana Petrović explores the visual elasticity of a wide range of media. She was born in 1985 in Bjelovar. Graduated in 2011 from the Academy of Arts in Osijek, where she currently works as a Senior Assistant for the courses Multimedia and Intermedia, and Photography.
She has presented her work at numerous group and solo exhibitions, receiving awards from the expert juries of the Rovinj Colony (2016) and the Slavonian Biennale (2021). She has also exhibited at the prestigious European Media Art Festival in Osnabrück, Germany (2009). Her work is included in the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts in Osijek, Croatia.
She has participated in art colonies in Hungary, Macedonia, Serbia, and Croatia and completed an artist residency in Graz, Austria, with Kulturvermittlung Steiermark.
Her works have been published in numerous catalogs, books, and newspaper articles, accompanied by texts by curators and art theorists such as Branko Franceschi, Boris Greiner, Branka Benčić, Blaženka Perica, Krešimir Purgar, and Luca Vargiu.
She is a co-founder of the POPUP Art Organization, which organized exhibitions in alternative exhibition spaces from 2012 to 2019.
Lives and works in Osijek, Croatia.
